Two police officers have reportedly been killed by armed gunmen who stormed a police station in Igumale area of Ado LGA
of Benue State.
Daily Post reports that the gunmen riding on motorcycles invaded the area
on Sunday, October 2, and opened fire on the officers on duty.
According to an eyewitness, two police officers died immediately while others
were left wounded as the unknown men fled the scene.
After reaching out to the Benue State police spokesman, Moses Yamu , he said
that his men were on their way from the scene and would reserve comment until
they returned.
